I mean it’s true. I never heard the term Henry, but my wife and I would qualify as that. We make 150k, but we’re not rich. We don’t go on big vacations. Once you hit 401k matches, pay student loans, and pay bills (cough taxes, insurance), there’s not money to be frivolous with.
I know every statistic would say we're top 10 percent in income for our age, but it doesn’t feel rich at all. We will be, but not today.
But it’s nice to be able to click on this person’s story to give them revenue to fund their woes.
If you are making $150,000 per year - you are rich by any definition of the word rich. You should be thankful for everything you have compared to most of the people on this planet. If you borrowed too much money for student loans and/or for your house and/or for your car -- I have no sympathy.

Income does not equal rich at all. If could make 1mm a year and spend 2mm on crap and be broke as hell

Agree and disagree. Might make boneheaded financial moves - like Ken Lay at Enron. Dude was a multi millionaire and when Enron went belly up he was having trouble paying his bills. But he was still rich.

If one was a multimillionaire then by that label the have millions in assets on hand. That’s not the example I put out. Having X income doesn’t make you rich /story

No way. My brother made nearly 250k a year, but I would never consider him "rich". No one that knew him would have, either. He was certainly comfortable, and made enough to be able to plan for a decent retirement in a mountain home. I think there is a long way between "comfortable" and "rich". Obviously it depends on your own experience, but one should not make such a blanket statement without qualifying it with other criteria - the most important being LOCATION.

And yet only one mentions a cat groomer and somehow you hung up and that and added as evidence of whining?
She was complaining about living "paycheck to paycheck", yet she has a HOST of silly extravagant expenditures. In my view, yep that is whining. If it isn't to you, fine. I really don't care.
