I will never find something I like to do FOR WORK. I just do what I like. The second I’m told to do things I don’t want to do — I’m out. I call this freedom.
Having been retired for a while now, I’ve come to appreciate boredom. Believe it or not but enough boredom can lead to inspiration and creativity.
Today? Spent it at a cancer center but spent the summer traveling in an RV seeing the Great Lakes then went to Venice Italy and on a cruise to the Greek Islands. Also own an airplane.

And should add, have zero debt
We live a similar life if you ask me.
I hate cancer and I’d love to find a way to volunteer some time. The thing I have to give now.
See I found out something through retirement — life is better when we can help give it to others.
If that life we give is through our money...our time...our words...it’s irrelevant.
Sometimes chasing everything you want can go wrong.
This is where the philosophical journey through retirement brought me and I wouldn’t be here without enough time to think about things.
Did you enjoy Southern Europe? What color is your airplane?
liewiang - I told you I’m not a big traveler, but if you really think for some amazing reason I will love Southern Europe — I will go there THIS month and take at aleast 50 pictures in front of something with your screen name written down on a piece of paper.
That person isn't like you because they have the resources to do things you can't do on $10k/year or whatever your latest spiel is. Any homeless bum can sit there rationalizing that they are just like these other people because they don't really want a roof over their head or food that doesn't come from a garbage can.
You aren't like someone who has the resources to have more options in life.

Bet you $10,000 I can meet you in Southern Europe this month...or week.
You couldn’t if you were sticking to your 10k a year in annual expenses.
I’m in Nest Egg Retirement (NER) so I could afford it if I’m motivated to do it.
