I'll just note that, as I always pay, I've never given IRS my direct deposit info. I finally got through on the status website (after trying regularly since it was posted), and got to enter all the bank info.

With luck, that will get me the payment long before the scheduled window for a check.

Anyone who needs to should probably try logging in again and entering the info.

So what is going on, they are not mailing it?

The IRS does not have my bank info. Or are they going through the banks now, and I have to apply through the banks?

We entered our bank information through the IRS portal so ours was direct deposited this morning. If they do not have your bank account number then I guess your check will be mailed.

Our credit union completes transactions when they happen except checks to clear. As of 9am our direct deposits had not been received. There was an article that said all SSA would be received by April 29th.
The 29th is gone. IRS tools continue to fail. There was something on FB that you need to spell the entire street address in capital letters. If we are to receive a check, and no earthly idea on why direct deposit failed, we should be in the second batch of checks next week.

Our deposit was complete early this morning. I am sorry to hear yours did not. It can be frustrating, I know. Please keep us updated.

How lucky. I could only get in during a 3 day window. By the time i retrieved my 2018 tax data to enter (I havent filed 2019 yet), less than 72 hours later, they said my check would be mailed May 1. But since my mail is being forwarded for the next few months, and you can't contact a human being at IRS or treasury, I'll probably never get it.

DH and I both receive SS with direct deposit and haven't gotten ours either. Although I was finally able to enter our info into the website it says we are eligible but no date yet. My SS was deposited last week and DH's deposited yesterday but nothing extra and nothing pending. I would have thought ours would have arrived yesterday as well, but it didn't. I actually did read somewhere that the 29th was for people who get SS but don't have to file a return. I guess those people are more important than those of us who actually still pay taxes to the feds.....sorry, a bit bitter about having to pay taxes on our paltry SS just because we have a bit of extra income to be able to live on.

Anyway I have read that if you have given them your info by 5pm on a Tuesday you should get a date the next Saturday and then probably a week later get the deposit. I finally was able to put the info in last Friday so hoping for a date this Saturday. I think it is totally asinine that the IRS and SSA couldn't coordinate efforts for direct deposit info.
