What you are stating is exactly end of days BS.
Exactly. Referencing an event from nearly 200 years ago by starting with "short memory" and then claiming it will happen again is beyond ludicrous. People overly concerned over "global cooling" that will destroy crops really need to expand their knowledge and read different web sites. This is nothing more than a wild theory.

Calm down people. Sure the next year or 2 will be tough but again they will develop treatments and soon a vaccine, this has an end. And at that point in time the airline pilot will probably have a job, travel will in fact return in a limited way and we will all start doing the things we've always done eventually. And it won't take 10 years.

Wise words.

We can't predict.

Although most probably don't like youtube vids in this section (?) Here are 3 scenarios in this video.

3 possibilities. Their could be more of course but I think these 3 main ones are the gist of potentialities. I've follow this guy on youtube and have seen many videos. "Minority Mindset" means "don't be one of the herd."

Quote:
4:03 - How the economy works
4:51 - Scenario 1 - The economy opens up and people go back to living their lives immediately
5:44 - Scenario 2 - The economy opens up but people don’t feel safe to spend their money
8:21 - Scenario 3 - The economy opens back up and then people start getting sick again
9:59 - Social distancing isn’t going to go away even if the economy opens back up which will hurt certain industries
11:37 - Was the economy really strong before this pandemic started

What Is The Minority Mindset?
We are a financial news & education company. The Minority Mindset has nothing to do with the way you look, your ethnicity, or your skin color. It's the mindset of thinking differently than the majority of people when it comes to your money.

Pandemics are expensive and there is no space for anything else to happen. They don't have revenue coming in, so they can't afford to be open. Hospitals will shrink unless there is another revenue source.

2. We will see more multi-generational households because people won't be able to afford to live on the low wages os "essential" work, and huge swaths of the economy will shrink (hospitality, restaurants, retail, bars). Younger people will move in with their boomer parents because their parents own their homes and have cheap mortgages if they aren't paid off. Younger people who aren't making tons of money to afford "market rate" housing will not be able to afford to live alone.

3. Retirement age will go up because many will have lost their prime income generating years to recessions in 2008 and the post-pandemic world. They won't be able to afford to retire until 75 - because they'll need to catch up for all of the losses an wages that never got to accumulate.
Hospitals were in trouble long before the CV epidemic. Last year saw 30 US hospitals go bankrupt.

A huge famine in East Africa all the way to Pakistan is developing right now.

30 million Americans are not out of work within a matter of weeks. Your lack of empathy is only surpassed by your ignorance.

I like your positive thinking, but sadly the caliber of people today in America lack civility, the ability to think for themselves and a certain sense oh honor that previous generations had. Look at what that poster wrote, it's all about them. That kind of mentality doesn't get people united.

I know two nurses who are furloughed, amazing isn't it.

Do those who work in fast food(and this isn't a put down) are more needed than someone who has a skillset according to that poster.

Funny how no ever hesitates to call a plumber when they're toilets and sinks are all clogging at the same time.

All jobs are essential in one way or another, especially when you need a service that they provide.

The dumbing down of America continues.

Their are two competing philosophies here. One philosophy is safety and security, while the other is freedom and independence. One philosophy wants to open back up, while the other wants to lockdown for long as possible. Either way both will contribute to high death rates and can cause economic damage.

Even if we made the move to open back up immediately, we'd still have this to deal with:
