I could estimate that 325,000 people in the US will die of the virus in September of this year, largely due to things opening up too soon and too many people not wearing masks. I'd be wrong, of course, just like practically every.other.estimate out there. Important to remember when you're reading 'news' is that somebody wrote it, and that somebody could be a complete idiot.

or that they might (say It isn't so) have an agenda or not exactly be neutral/unbiased ... Or I think equally prevalent in this day and age, be a moron who just parrots what someone else tells them.

I said wait a year. You can prove nothing today.

And BTW, your little graph is NOT news. It's someone's wild ass guesstimate. If you choose to believe someone's guesswork, go for it.

You clearly can't tell the difference between a university and Fox News. Noted.

Do you really think a thoughtfully built model that incorporates past learnings and currently available data is the same as “wild ass guesswork?”

It's just those squints sucking up grant money, not, you know, real men actually running things.

Exactly. Anti-intellectualism is alive and well.

A new study by Sweden's public-health agency found that just 7% of people in Stockholm had developed coronavirus antibodies by the end of April.
Experts say at least 60% of a population needs to catch the virus before any protective immunity can be achieved. Bjorn Olsen, a professor of infectious medicine at Uppsala University, told Reuters, "I think herd immunity is a long way off, if we ever reach it."

They were going to go back to the trade war after the election anyways. The math on the "deal" 1 just did not make sense. The administration was under fire, and hiding behind national security never hurt any presidency, even if most of the claims made by Trump were actually refuted by the CIA back in January. He knows it will get worse than he claimed and needs someone to blame it on. He's basically an inept worker bee who historically blames others preemptively or after something blows up.
