Covid 19 is not a big enough physical hit to knock down the USA. Within a few years the economies of the world will most likely be back on track. If the virus was instead Ebola, and just in the US, that might do it.
I expect some amount of deglobalization to occur. Are we not all sick and tired of supply chain trouble by now ?
What "trouble"?; the warehouses, truckers, and railroads are still open for business, and most of the disruption (and associated hand-wringing) came from the small minority of impressionable idiots focused on toilet paper and the like.

In very worst case scenario, if United States accidentally becomes like Venezuela, United States will end up being part of China, after China paid off all the United States debt as part of agreement to transfer power and restore income equality.
