I say they should cap the income level...is 100k the right amount? Maybe, maybe not, but it sure seemed like quite a few folks that did receive the first check didn’t need it as on a CD thread stated they were saving it or adding it to their investment funds.
Sez you.
Lemme guess... you make under $100k or you don't file a joint return?
We file a joint return and the joint income is less than $150K. We both got stimulus checks. I think that's a fair cut off. If we made over $150K as a joint income I wouldn't feel bad about not getting stimulus checks.
Lots of stimulus money was spent at Walmart, Target & Costco -- thus helping China's economy. I even saw a bag of frozen edamame (soybeans) at Costco - from China. We grow soybeans in this country, and still some of it comes from China. smh.
it helps US economy too. Tariffs, transportation, employees, infrastructure, etc/
"Who is not eligible" "You do not have any qualifying children and your adjusted gross income is greater than $99,000"
yes I see that. I should have done basic research on that, apologies to all. Virtually the same figure I mentioned is already there. Maybe I even heard this at some point and then forgot about it.

Above $75,000, the amount of the payment was reduced 5% for everything above. The $1,200 was fully phased out (reduced to $0) at $99,000.
