Seriously....the market seems to be en fuego. I’m seeing stuff like rookie cards for certain athletes go for hundreds of thousands....for a piece of paper. 5 years ago for example a Michael Jordan rookie in perfect condition may fetch $20k — now $300k or more.
The last time I remember sports cards being like this was the late 90s before dot com bubble burst.
So how high can everything get before the bubble burst?
Vintage skateboards are selling like crazy right now. A NOS deck from the 80's will pull in thousands. Even reissues are getting a few hundred. Now they are doing signed and numbered reissues and blind bags.
The vintage snowboard market is considered 'soft' right now and peaked a couple years ago.
For graded cards, wall street investment money has entered the game.
Also Pwcc is a big time investment seller and pretty well known fraudsters and Schilling bidders on ebay which was at one point being investigated by the FBI. And it still didn't slow their selling prices down.
I have several rolls of uncut cards that are 25+ years old.
Does anyone know a reliable way/site of finding out if any are of value?
What are they?
I'm on a card forum, I can ask those guys.
