Debit- each and every time I don't have cash on hand.

Yes I can file a claim with my bank if a transaction was compromised. They have the liberty to draw out the 60 day investigation . Yet most times within three days I receive the funds back and they update .

Credit cards- prefer not to be hostage to their rules and convoluted computation schemes. They change the goal post so often. A debit doesn't. It's a pay at time of purchase.easy peasy.

Huh ?

All I do is push pay on my credit cards …done …nothing else to do except spend my rewards or cash back .

Nothing is ever a problem with a debit card , well that is until its a problem…

I made that assumption as well. It is a shame to lose it, I am going through tons of points with that.

I guess getting 3% points on dining then getting a another 1.5% when applying points using PYB (4.5% return) isnt going to be beatable with any other card.

Like most I pay everything with a credit card, never with a debit. I've received so many rewards over time and never pay finance charges. Rewards are funded by those that carry balance and are charged finance fees.

Also if retailers are already pricing things with credit card use in mind, then there is no benefit for me not to use the credit card. I can't remember the last place I went to that had a discount for paying in cash.

Yeah, if they believe that the credit card fees are already factored into the prices, then they are paying for my rewards.

Certain small stores do, especially if you charge a small amount. But Amex is doing a lot to help small businesses in that regard.

Many gas stations, too. Good thing Costco and Sam's Club only accept credit cards and their gas is cheaper, on average, than the competitors'.
