Philip,
Thanks for your responses. Now if we could only find a way for the porn industry to make money in alternative energy development...
By the way, I appreciate your alternative energy postings. You are converting me to solar thermal.

Besides electric farms, we could use algae to fuel the existing Diesel equipment. Electricity from solar to run the pumps and sunlight, C02 and water in bags or tubes to grow the algae. Some farms could also get bio-gas from manure. The future of oil is in the water.

But again a lot more will be made clear via more research on your part.

Your answer when anybody 1.) questions your view, 2.) disagrees with you.
I do wonder where you get your god like powers from.

You should try brushing up on your reading comprehension skills. The person didn't disagree with my opinion. The person said they didn't understand some things Eric Jenszen said. last time I checked, I am not Eric Jenszen. I see what you tried to do there though.

Since the original comment was directed at me...
Philip's right. I don't have a lot of knowledge on this subject. I usually have an opinion on something but I'm not above saying "hey, I don't know" when I really don't know something.
Maybe with more research I would agree with him and maybe not. Based on his other posts, I really couldn't say. Sometimes one of us is way out in left field. He has some pretty strong opinions, as do most of us on this forum. But that's what makes it fun!

Alternative energy can be very dangerous to invest in. First they must start making money which many aren't now. Many won't make money in the near future because they cost more than oil. Many of these companies will disappear once others come on line but their executives will have drawn what they want from invest money. There are alot of Enrons out there now in the alternative energy markets.

I don't find it fun, its just repetitive and boring. The problem is economic forecasting is a very rough science, so anybody that claims to know what is going to happen is just fooling themselves. Strong opinions in economics are never particularly useful...one has to listen to the data.
Also, just to note I wasn't talking about Philip. Rather the one that can't seem to help appealing to every fallacy in a logic text.

Yep, and there will be even more companies coming on line in the coming years looking for VC money. So you are right, it will take a lot of research to figure out who to invest in.
