That article is about inflation and other problems in Great Britain, which I believe, is and has been under the control of the conservative party there. In fact, their last clown conservative Prime Minister was forced to resign, and a new conservative Prime Minister is due to be appointed by the conservative party tomorrow.
But based on your posting history, I'm sure that you'll somehow blame Biden for all their problems as well.
Why would you wish economic pain on literally everybody - but those who would be hurt most is the poor.
We are already in a recession, a depression is unlikely.
I am not sure I agree with the first sentence. Poor people are not impacting the same as wealthier people when the economy crashes. Most do not own assets, stocks and/or pensions. Of course, they could lose their jobs, though.

The poor normally do much worse in downturns because of job losses, hours cut and loss of benefits. Who is hurt worse, the one whose income went to zero or the boss who cut the workers hours and let go workers to save their business. For most of the rich, investments and retirement assets going down 10% but income with little impact is much less pain than those living paycheck to paycheck with lower pay or complete job loss and no investments to cover the losses. It is well known that the poor tend to suffer more in downturns.
Isnt that like reverse what happened during the Interwar Period?
