Customer Service Hall of Shame - MSN Money

Good article. It's a list of the top 10 companies with poor customer service. I thought it was almost exactly dead on as I have had problems with quite a few on this list myself

My complaints with Comcast has nothing to do with their customer service, and Time Warner generally gave me good customer service, but once again it is their business model that I had problems with.

I used to love Nextel (years ago when they were a small company), now I wouldn't touch them.

Home Depot - 17 cash registers and 1 at the far end is open.

At least get rid of the other 16 islands and put in a waiting room so we can rest while we wait to check out.

I agree. This drives me nuts. And my wife gets annoyed with me when I ask the cashier why they have so many registers if they are only going to open one or two at a time.

Maybe they are running Vista and need that many to have one that works?

Lowes is the same way. The register lines are designed for a Christmas rush, and the housing market drop and cost of gas and food have slowed sales to where the beancounters are doing the usual "CUT PAYROLL!" screaming.

It is no surprise that cell phone companies and banks lead the ranks of bad customer service. Im surprises there are not more cell companies in the top 10.

I am also surprised that not one of the top 10 worst companies in America to work for is in the top 10 in worst customer service. You would think the 2 catagories would go hand in hand.
