DH just started this new position, and since it is a contracting position, does not get benefits. I have signed us up under my plan, however if anything should happen, we would be liable to pay 20% and the rest would be picked up. We, as a family, are not tremendously lucky, and I am concerned that if something should happen paying 20% of a hospital bill might break us. So, I am planning sign up for supplemental medical insurance? Is it common? Have anyone of you done that?
Just trying to see how common is it, and/or if I am being over cautious?
