They've either got amnesia or want to save face on the Internets by asserting they dumped their shares at $8.

I can't find FRE. He must've not stayed put like you promised me he would.

My SKF shorts went somewhere too. My guess is up.

Of course, you sold your shares already, right? Even though you were speaking in the long term, you did a head fake and bought into the dip and sold on the apex.

Sold it 9 days later after buying it at it's low. No need to get greedy. Living in Southwest Florida I have a real good view of the housing market. I personally know to many people dealing with forclosure. Decided holding this one was probably not a good investment!

Yeah right.

Does your previous statement of "The government is backing it so why not. I am still young, nothing but time to wait." ring a bell?

You either never bought it or are still holding onto that turkey.

Looking forward to a reverse psychology deflection response, something like "believe whatever you want, I know what I did". That will convince others and myself to believe an anonymous posting that contradicted a previous statement...NOT!

I've been buying some beat down financials and such but have stayed away from FRE. I hold F, BAC, GE that were purchased at multiyear lows. Played w C but sold it after going from 15 to 20.

I think there are other oppoortunities that will pay off sooner. Look at mining and pipeline stocks.

Nothing wrong with lying. Just got to lick your wounds and move on.

Were you sitting there waiting for me to respond? Looks like you have a lot of spare time on your hands. Have any big stock tips so I can make big money like you?

I don't have any tips for you. I'm not in possession of a crystal ball. I simply invest for macroeconomic trends, and I just told you how you could make big money. You just have to stop getting burned by chart watching and assuming that gov't bailouts actually help the shares.

I wonder if his ship made it out of the harbor....

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Warren Buffett said the U.S. economy is unlikely to improve before 2009, and there was a "reasonable chance" that Fannie Mae (FNM.N) and Freddie Mac (FRE.N) shareholders would be wiped out though the companies themselves are too big to fail.
