The one that is going to be closed in University Mall in Tampa is only logical. Steve and Berry's is bancrupt and is leaving after JC Penney already had moved, so IMO this mall is going to vanish aswell so this was forseen, only stupid that they recently opened it over there....

I expected to read a list like....

500 Elm st.
501 Elm st.
504 Elm st.
507 Elm st.

I'd be curious how many starbucks are in say....the city of chicago or even just the loop area. I would just *guess* and say 20 in the chicago downtown alone and 80 in the city of chicago.

LOL! I heard on the news that Starbucks in trying offer jobs to as many displaced employees as possible. But even so, can you imagine the hassle of having to commute an extra two blocks to work now?

What's up with Baton Rouge, LA? There's 9 stores closing there. Wonder if any are left open?

They probably wont be the only coffee store to close...but they are the one that expanded the most. Lots of these are new stores open 2yr or less. Hard to pay $5 for a coffee w $4 gas.

Weird they're not closing more in the Pacific Northwest...we have wonderful coffee shacks all over this region, but they only closed 2 in ID, 6 in OR, and yeah, about a dozen in WA. They could close ALL Starbucks in the PNW and we'd still get good coffee here...best coffee here isn't ever at a Starbucks...
