If the country bails these companies out I think the country needs to take over the operations of these companies. THe board na d executive staff will all need to be removed with no bonuses and no benefits. They screwed it up lower level screw ups get fired, They should too.
I like The Kutchinik plan where the country prospers but he needs to take it further and eliminate the execs. Why continue to give under performers money. FIRE THEM!

I hope the guilt of what they've done gets to them and they commit suicide

I think there's going to be a whole bunch of people going to jail soon over this mess which is a good thing. They should also have to give back any and all bonus's they collected and their salary for the last couple of years if it's proved they inflated numbers.
I also wonder how many in government (no matter which party, they're both involved somehow) will be dug up and brought out into the light?
