All I'm saying is I hope you people who haven't started to prepare start. You can laugh, call me a doomsdayer, whatever. Just don't be a feakin grasshopper because the ants aren't going to want to help you.

OK, I give up. How can anybody expect to have an intellectual discussion concerning serious economic issues with people who claim to have all the answers on why "the credit and financial crisis has went global now." Yes, it has gone global, and there are always actions one can take to counteract trends and minimize damage, collateral and otherwise, in even the most trying economic times. I had hoped to discuss some of the possibilities with others hoping to make the best of the worst, but it appears I am on the wrong forum.

Anybody know of a forum where no one claims to have all the answers-- since even Nobel Prize winners do not-- but fruitful discussion actually takes place? If so, maybe I'll see you there.

Good luck to you all!

Where are the gun shops in Nottingham. There are only airgun places and you need a licence, which will sit in police files. This is UK - does Dunblane ring any bells?!

Good grief, I'm not advocating anyone do anything illegal. The gun thing is simply to protect yourself and property. We will see a dramatic rise in riots, home invasions, robbery and so on. If we have a total meltdown of society, then the police will not be anywhere to be found. You will have to learn to protect yourself.

If you don't think this can actually happen, you best think again. You are seeing the start of it right now.

akay, I have no gun but since I've already lost my home and had to file bankruptcy and then move to another state so my husband could find a job. I have nothing to take. With that said I do not understand what is happening today. I heard someone say last week if the - was over 700 it would mean something. What is that something besides the fact it is just a high number.

I definately believe you, my family don't. Knowing me, I'm gonna die before anything happens due to the levels of stress I am under trying to tell those idiots in my family. This financial thing is tearing us all apart.
