He doesn't appear the least bit remorseful, does he? Trying to fudge numbers about his compensation...ducking out of the fact that he served on the panel of executive compensation (for self-serving purposes no less), etc...etc...

Waxman asks him a yes/no question: "...you got nearly half a billion in compensation since 2000 and our economy is in crisis with taxpayers left to foot the bill and you own a $14 million home or 2 and many people are losing their homes ...is this fair?" He can't even give a straight answer to that?

And why is the panel asking him what HE recommends/advises? What good is that? This is not a man of sound judgement?

These hearings are nothing more than a dog and pony show.
Nothing will happen.

I'm sure these guys' lawyers are telling them to NOT: a) apologize or b) admit any wrongdoing.

Some of them will be indicted (I hope!).

Think about it...we had the Ken Lay's, Jeffrey Skilling's, etc a couple of years ago. Those guys went to jail. The crooks that caused this mess are getting off scott free...I don't understand it.

I posted this somewhere but I'll post it here, too.

Knock Out: CNBC Confirms Lehman CEO Punched at Gym (http://www.businessandmedia.org/articles/2008/20081006150152.aspx - broken link)

I'd like to know who punched the bastard so I can shake his hand and thank him.
