It had no effect on the stock market. It just keeps going down, down and down. People are in the panic selling mode now and will take a huge loss out of fear. My stop loss hit on all my stocks last week.
Eventually when the Dow Jones hits about 7000 people will start buying again but after dropping fifty percent, I suspect it will take ten years to ever get up to a Dow Jones 14,000 again. If ever!
(A 50% drop in the stock market will require a 100% increase to get back to the point it started at!)
