i'm only kicking myself with one of my two feet. i took advantage of the first 500 point gain... and it looks like the rally will be carried in to tomorrow. i'm confident, however, that this rally will be short lived and the reality of a dow 6000 will sooner then later be realized!

The biggest rallies in the Dow history besides this one were mainly in the Great Depression.

It's "irrational exuberance" at the forlorn hope of the govt intervention fixing things up, considering the largely rotten fundamentals of the economy.

I agree with Woof. Jumping in and out of the market now is like rolling the dice. It's so incredibly volatile and irrational right now.

Banks were closed I guess, so I couldn't get any money. In any case, I think there may be a little sell off tomorrow initially, at least. Some were up over 25%, and I definitely feel some people will run with their profit.

There won't be a selloff at the open, but I have no idea where it goes from there. Could be down of course. We've had a lot of 'up' these past couple of days.

But the open will be up. Too much (good) news tonight and tomorrow morning for it to go down. Then again, the market is known to make people look stupid. I may be kicking myself for not taking profits, but not really. It's only numbers. Up over 30% in two days, so I have a big cushion.

I have no idea; as has been shown no one else does either because it is a massive number of people involved. If anyone did have a magic ball then they wouldn't be on this forum. There are only guesses and we know what they are worth.Depends on now much you want to risk and if you can stand the losses like any risk.

No, I am not going to try to time the market. It is just too volatile and I am not savvy enough.

If/when my stuff recovers I *am*going to look at investing in funds/stocks/other investments where I know where my money is going and believe it has a genuine future.
