Supposedly November 28th at 10AM from City Hall to Wall Street to protest the $70 billion in bonuses set to be paid out this year. Also a boycott on Christmas shopping that day.

If I lived near New York, I'd go. Maybe they should do them in all the financial districts around the country.

Someone needs to do something before those checks are cut. I think if one company that took $$$ from the bailout gives out as much as $1.00 for bonuses, they should have to give the money back.

A more effective boycott would be for the masses of America to stop sending them 401K, etc. money.

That would pretty much be "Game Over" for the whole operation.

Does anyone have a link to any of this? I overheard it in NJ a week ago at a restaurant. I'm kicking myself for not turning around and asking the guy more about it. Now when you add the talk of the GM/Ford?chrysler bailout - when is enough ENOUGH?

The poor slobs who were laid off from Circuit City don't have anyone bailing them out.

i would certainly like to see americans stop investing in the stock market to send a message that we will not allow ourselves to be used this way, although there will always be those who just think the time is right to "make a killing". they need to know that the taxpayer is not always going to be there for them and then maybe they could figure out some rules to play by if they are the only ones who risk getting burned.

I really think a series of walks/protests need to happen. I was watching yesterdays hearings on CSPAN last night, the ones that address redirecting the bailout money. I find it incredible that the Fed has thrown this money at the banks without stipulation as to how they use it. I thought part of the bailout agreement was that the money comes with conditions? So banks were getting all this money in order to free up credit, and instead they were gobbling up smaller banks that weren't necessarily in any trouble, but were rather their competition. I'm just amazed at the cart blanche attitude and then again, I'm not. Nothing beneficial or productive is going to happen until the American people get mad, really mad, and make it known.

This is in Washington, D.C. They are planning on gathering @ 12noon.
