I have the same decorations I bought the first 2 or 3 years we got married. This year we're planning a trip (12 hour drive to NM) rather than buy more made in China junk.

Reckless growth and irrational exuberance. Thankfully, my paycheck hasn't changed but I wont be spending a lot this year either. Americans are finally waking up to the reality that debt is bad and saving is good, in spite of what the economists tell us. And, this poster has the added benefit of rediscovering what the holidays are REALLY about. I think it's great!

We're buying presents (3 kids here), but we've amassed enough gift cards with solvent stores, rebate cards & checks, etc. that we can do almost all our shopping without actually spending a dime of our own money. Pretty cool, huh?

I think it says a lot about our country as a whole when the entire economy revolves around our buying Christmas present, don't you?

Hmmmm .... a killer at the hospital ... don't be surprised if they turn down your offer.
