I think you have it backwards. You shouldn't be looking at what got us here, you should be looking at what this is teaching us - we don't need to be responsible because gov't will bail us out if we screwup.

Seriously though, what incentive is there of being responsible now? What will the responsible ones get from all of this other than the bill?

Hi reverse,

Under this system the "irresponsible" must take on debt. If they do not, then the "responsible" must take on debt. As I said, its built in. No debt, no money. What allowing those who had no business taking in debt did was to post pone the day of reckoning that must occur with debt instruments as currency. Its like wondering who lit the match when we should be looking at who is making this powder keg while they are turning out the lights.
