Dude....are you serious? Can you please keep the partisanship out of the business, finance and investing forum?

This is some Governor talking about helping some local news papers. This has nothing to do with the so called "bailout" nor is it evidence of some liberal conspiracy.

first, i am not a dude and this is not at all about partisanship, since both parties are working to loot the treasury. (it had democrats in the title because that was the article). there is plenty of corruption on both sides, as i have pointed out rather often. unfortunately, we have new corruption replacing old corruption and the media covers it up because they want to be on the right side of a bailout. it is being done in small towns and large cities.

This has nothing to do with the treasury. It has to do with some local paper and a governor.

Yet you interpret it has some odd conspiracy.

There is a difference between politics and economics.

bailouts are economic decisions made by politicians.

and, for what it's worth, newspapers have almost ALWAYS had some sort of partisan affiliation. that's why it was a big deal when the Chicago Tribune endorsed Obama, because it's generally known as a republican/conservative leaning paper.

i know that's not the exact topic here, but since you brought up democrats, conspiracy, etc... i thought i would point that out.

i am not pointing out a democratic conspiracy! i am pointing out that we no longer can trust the information that our media gives us because they have vested interests in presenting information to the public. americans will have to read the foreign newspapers if they want to know what is going on anymore. for the record, i am against a bailout of the newspaper industry.
