Unions sue Schwarzenegger over mandatory days off - Los Angeles Times

Two public employee unions on Monday sued Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to block his effort to furlough state workers in a cost-cutting measure as California's treasury runs out of money.

... the state has fewer than 70 days before it runs out of cash.

the unions have certainly picked a fine time to try and fight their battles. they are going to be the losers all around after this nightmare ends.
what they should be doing is working to get the illegal immigrants out of california, which would (supply and demand) raise the wages of the workers that are left automatically and also help to reduce california's unsustainable debt load.

Too bad that TONS of public employee unions, and those here in California as well as several other chronically broke 'blue' states in particular, don't believe in that 'vision thing' that tons of politicians tend to blather on about incessantly.

I saw on the evening news last night that their debt is more than double what was projected. Sad state of affairs over there!

That's what happens when you give illegals rights and benefits. Hopefully every other state wakes the hell up and ship them all out of here.
