The politicians just keep giving money to failed businesses while throwing people in the street.
They have changed the BK laws against US.
They have let credit card companies have unilateral contracts and charge usury rates.
They have done nothing about our 401ks...now 201ks.
They have given 7 trillion away with no regard as to what is done with it.
Lenders are getting money at 0% and charging 5 to 6%.
How do we make getting a loan easier, and based on reality?
How do we make the congress change the laws about credit cards?
How do we force congress to audit and FBI to investigate those lenders we bailed out and who got a private meeting with congress?
STRIKE STRIKE STRIKE.
IF everyone stopped using their credit cards and suspended payments until the law changed.
If everyone in the US stopped paying mortgages, stopped refi-ing, and stopped buying real estate...then they would have to stop pandering and actually do something.
help them make the decision to enact laws that make sense that help the consumer, and not just business.
Falsely keeping this economy up by giving money away to big businesses does not make sense. It is nothing but robbery..
I'm tired of the BAILOUTS and how the money is ending up in a BLACK HOLE to nowheres-ville !! The American people are going to have to get off their tuckesses soon and let the BAD BOYS in DC know that we've had enough of their double speak and we're no longer going to sit passively by while they continue to line their pockets with our money !!!
And if EVERYONE stopped paying their mortgages and credit cards, etc. for a month, maybe they would get the message LOUD and clear !!

Well I paid off my credit cards and refinanced my home at a lower fixed rate. I continue to pay my mortgage because I said I would. I drive older used cars (100k is low mileage to me) and eat at resturants very seldom.
strikes are good but they require guts. france does it all the time.
but they have labor unions.
as to america, its not a very good system but its all we got. eventually we had to run out of gas i mean mama has pretty much credit taped papa dry, their crop of kidults are lazy mega attitude leeches and failures. i mean the train had to stop a some point no? black & white kidults got a lot in common, no work ethic.
labor movements are not launched by tired burned out old men, they are launched by young men with lots of guts who got work ethic, i dont know any except the ones coming from mexico.

Well if we are tired of the bailouts we should have made it known in the last vote. Strikes aren't the answer, or shouldn't be the answer. Unfortunetly we replaced one free-spending president with another one that is even more free-spending. Not that either candidate was the solution. I guess americans still want and expect free money, government bail-outs, and entitlements. That was the change they wanted - more free money, bail-outs, and entitlements.
Oh well, make your votes knows in the congressional elections in 2 years and hope that in 4 years a REAL (not one liberal and one RINO) fiscally conservative candidate for once appears on the ballots.
Funny that this thread appeared. I almost started one yesterday, pointing out that the Ayn Rand novel "Atlas Shrugged" had the people who created and took chances striking against the socialist thought and ridiculous laws of the society she developed in her book. The reality is much different than what was in that romantic novel. If the REAL creators (like the guy who wrote the operating system that DOS was based on, or the garage tinkerers) went on strike, then those who exploit them would no longer be able to do so.
Those who are out of work are effectively on strike now. All they need to do is stop saying they are unemployed or out of work, and saying that they are on strike and will no longer create income that can be taxed to support the Ponzi schemers at the top. That type of backfire is precisely what politicians and CEOs are afraid of. Refusal to work under increasingly onerous conditions, such as cuts in pay and benefits, would finish the toppling of the status quo.
You can read my posts from years back railing against the corporate welfare that was going on behind the scenes while welfare to the poorest of the poor was eliminated. In the past few months, that corporate welfare has gone from being a crutch to being a life-support system. Regrettably, it is not sustainable and a lot of people will suffer because of that, with the people in the trenches suffering the most.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. There is NO HOPE of a meaningful or lasting recovery until the credit default swaps are declared illegal and taken off the table. You CANNOT have an institution that thrives on destruction of business and expect it to survive, any more than you can feed a cancer and expect a human to survive.

There are $368 trillion in CDS's and only 9 trillion of them have unwound so far. Why people don't see this as the root problem is beyond me. CDSwaps are just "imaginary money" (there isn't that much money in the world) but as long as there are folks out there acting as if these investments are real, nothing is going to get solved.
OTC derivatives are toxic, toxic, toxic, and they are poisoning the global economy!
