The recovery from the last recession didn't happen until 1983. Neither did that one start in 1969.
If anything, those numbers show that a major cultural shift occurs approximately every 40 years.
I hope you can 'splain that......about the cultural shift........THERE WAS A CRASH IN 1929?and around 69 seem like I recall stocks falling in a post war classic way? TELL me what's wrong with my general Idea?

There have been 19 Recessions since 1797 the average recovery time is 7 to 10 years. The great depression lasted 10 years before a recovery But the panic of 1873 was the longest depression from 1873 til 1897 or 24 years til recovery. So I like to here your theory in detail.

It is not a theory as much as an observation. The Recovery of 7-10 years is interesting.........with the 24 years from 1873. What happened in the 1800's
what we can conclude is that stockpiling weapons and food is a very good idea.
