I have not looked but was the recovery 39-79-(2019) if it is, that would be interesting......at least to me.....a small time stock trader.

we can conclude that it stopped in 1974. the rest has been on cruise control. barren nation.

The recovery from the last recession didn't happen until 1983. Neither did that one start in 1969.

If anything, those numbers show that a major cultural shift occurs approximately every 40 years.

I hope you can 'splain that......about the cultural shift........THERE WAS A CRASH IN 1929?and around 69 seem like I recall stocks falling in a post war classic way? TELL me what's wrong with my general Idea?

What are you guys talking about. It sounds like an interesting theory.
There have been 19 Recessions since 1797 the average recovery time is 7 to 10 years. The great depression lasted 10 years before a recovery But the panic of 1873 was the longest depression from 1873 til 1897 or 24 years til recovery. So I like to here your theory in detail.

It is not a theory as much as an observation. The Recovery of 7-10 years is interesting.........with the 24 years from 1873. What happened in the 1800's
