Just a thought. Of course, it's 7:30am and I haven't finished my first cup of coffee.

Okay, I've had my coffee. I feel better now.

It strikes me that the anecdote pulled from the story (in the thread about the California taxes thing) is about a woman DESPERATE for COFFEE. Not food for herself or her children, not toilet paper, not drinking water or anything else that is NEEDED for survival.

DESPERATE for coffe.

I say... let them eat cake.
I agree about the coffee, but not the homelesness...or lack of foood. Not everyone has a savings to get by on. Disability is the minimum you need for a state. Landlords will need money to pay their own payments, and I doubt banks will forgive late payments either. If the budget is tight and the next check buys the food for the month there is no food. Your dealing with those with the least income with disabilty and social security (and working with disability is very limited or not advisable). If this came about I would hope it would be required that back payments be made and that those along the food chain be required to wait too.

We will finance the bailout with the same magic money that created the bubble. We took the wrong road starting with Ronnie Raygun and it has led us straight to the tar pits.
