If you are and/or were a customer of Bank of America between 2000 and 2007 and had at least one overdraft charge (haven't we all????), you are elegible for the suit. Go to clossonsettlement.com and file a claim.

Thank you for posting this. Luckily I have never let my account go into the negatives at any point. However, I will pass this information on.

Huh? An overdraft is when you violate the agreement you made and write checks on money you don't have. It is actually a fraudulent transaction.

If have been banking and using checks for over fifty years and never had an overdraft.

BOA is known for deciding which transactions to post when and in what order. I've also had BOA put a "HOLD" on GREEN Cash that I have deposited...????How can they put a HOLD on cash? I have overdraft protection and I've been overdrafted by BOA.....go figure.

Not immediately depositing cash into your account is technically considered fraud.

BoA operates everyday as a fraudulent organization since it exists under a fractional reserve framework. If everyone wanted their deposits at once, BoA would have no way to honor this request. That is by definition fraud as a bank is supposed to guarantee deposits. It cannot under these circumstances.

I had overdraft fees, many times all due to mistakes made by BoA...I'm still banking with them, since they cleared up the mistakes and i expect other banks to make similar mistakes...or maybe done on purpose in the hope that they can collect the money.

I also had interest charges that were wrong...due to the fact that the payment was due over the weekend and the amount was taken out of my account on Tuesday....since I have auto payments, I never should get interest charges.
