Quite frankly it feels like it's getting to be grounds for labor law class actions. Compelling one to consume the products of the company they work for because the company is hurting for money, while the CEO is banking millions - unethical as you can get.
Really? Everyone I know who works there can afford BMWs and Mercedes. There all engineers and managers, though.
Well...mostly the engineers I knew who drove bling cars were either single or upper level engineers. Me being married with children and a E2 at the time drove a used chevy.

I agree that they should not demand it but if you work for a company, you should but its products and services if you can. If there is a good reason why you cannot, that is understandable but most everything being equal, you should. If you work for Coke, you should buy Coke at the store unless there is some reason that Pepsi is a better choice. In my case, I work for the largest cell phone company in the world. My phone is free but my kids are on Metro PCS. If my company offered the same plan (unlimted minutes for 4 phones for $100), they would be on it.

LOL, well, most of them ARE single. And many of them gay, so no worries for children ::thumbsup:: And one of them is an upperlevel AND single AND gay, haha. So, yeah, they do make more dispensable income. Though, I can't imagine an engineer at LM wearing rags to work even if they're married w/ children. We had a huge plant by us (Marietta, GA) and many of the parents of my friends were employed there. And, the area I lived in wasn't poor at all (average income was 6 digits).

I'm going to take a guess and say you work for Vodaphone? And have a Verizon cell phone. But, it's definitely understandable from both sides of the fence. On one, you should support your company. On the other, sometimes you don't want to see work at home. I remember working at a fast food restaurant once, and I STILL refuse to eat there anymore after working there for a few months. I just don't like being reminded of that.
They must not be doing so bad if they have all that money to drop on Panasonic products
