If no one has noticed the government has been working for big finance. The cabinet is loaded with them and they finance most of the campaigns. Its the wrong question. The question should be, "Has big finance privatized the Federal government? The answer is, of course, yes.
Essentially what is happening is the goods and services economy is essentially tapped out. The baning system cannot loan into the host parasitically anymore because the host has been severely sickened. I think it may have blown apart on them earlier than they thought. I was surprised they had not unloaded the sub prime assets before this happened.
So now its all about the silent big money sitting it out and letting the lower level apparatus squirm to try and find sustenance. The Rockefeller, Rothschild class is leaving the current financial class under them to its fate after they made use of it to enrich themselves. A few of these lieutenants like the bank CEOs and vice presidents have given themselves a life raft, but the rest are on their own.

Pray the big money class doesn't transition us from a financial apparatus to a military one.

Before we even think about nationalizing the banks, we need to nationalize the government.

According to you right?
This is interesting, first you say that it's not happening, then you say it's not nationalization but a FDIC takeover of a few then you point to an article in the WSJ that says pretty much what I was saying about people wanting to give control of banks to the idiots in government.

should the big banks be nationalized? -NO. Washington D.C. is already highly corrupt in many branches. Why give them more power.

1) Government controlling the financial base of the people they tax seems like a conflict of interest.

2) Point them to Argentina. When the .gov owns the bank they take your money if they want and who's to argue.
