He is an idiot, he was governor when I was in Seattle, apparently he has a "spending" problem by charging taxpayers for all his bills (and I do mean ALL)... but times were "good" and nobody cared as long as it stayed good even if he didn't have anything to do with it... but he sure did spend it... I am not sure why he would be tapped for "commerce" secretary... As far as I remember he doesn't have that much experience in "commerce"... other than spending taxpayers money... there has to be SOMEBODY on this country with 300 Million people that is up to the job... I wonder if getting the job requires "connections"...

Unfortunately for your argument, it's a governor's job to spend taxpayers' money. I thought Locke was an excellent governor.

I observe that everyone who is against free trade still buys the cheapest Chinese-made shoes.

Locke was a very average governor. I do not think there is anything he did during his tenure in Washington that was good or bad.

They should have strong armed Ed Rendell into the job whether he wanted it or not. At least he's gambling friendly and Obama's whole domestic policy and economic strategy is one long shot crap toss.
