As I type, seven of the first ten posts in this forum, which is supposedly NOT about politics, has the word Obama in the thread title. Duhhhh.
As someone who voted for the Libertarian candidate, and is a Centrist in leaning, all I can say is that readers of those threads need to be VERY aware of undertones in supposedly non-political Business, Finance, and Investing threads.
For those of you interested in yet another interesting explanation of the current situation, I suggest that you try to find the current "This American Life" episode on NPR. Yeah, it is simplistic, but it does a great job in presenting more than one side of the issues involved in the current situation.

I believe it is only normal for Obama to come up in these buisness threads. He is on tv several times a day putting out new policy changes, alot against buisnesses, such as raising taxes and he is spending money as fast as they cut the trees for more paper to make it. If he would just take a break and let the mess play itself out we could possibly get back to buisness. Sometimes I think he gets high on being in the spotlight. Maybe all that power has his adrenaline flowing and he can't sleep. Isn't it time for him to go on vacation?

harry------it is only normal that the name "Obama" comes up in nearly all posts.
The thread title is------"Business, finance, and investing"
Yes, his trillion $$$$ bailout mentions and affects all three of those.

With all the chatter over nationalizing this country, how can you now separate politics from business? I am sure "the one we don't speak of" will creep back into the forum. LOL

If Bush was still president he'd be catching just as much flak as Obama is for bringing down the economy. We have a very business and economy unfriendly Prez who thinks he can fix things( Okay nobody is sure what he thinks, maybe he wants to fix things maybe he doesn't) but is only making them worse. He's a major cause of the continued downturn and naturally gets mentioned.

I understand that the name will come up on a regular basis. However, seven out of ten in the thread title is more than a regular basis. I'm not calling for a banning of threads, merely noting that readers have to be aware that undertones and misrepresentations that are political in nature can creep in. If anything, I'm amazed at how fast Bush and TARP 1 has dropped off the radar.
