I'd go with that...the only way Obama is going to get some semblance of credibility back with his "I am outraged" comment is to fire Gietner.

i hope people are just as enraged by the AIG bailout as they are by the bonuses, as they should be. the bonuses amount to less than 1/10 of 1% of what the taxpayers are paying so far to AIG. why didn't goldman sachs have to eat some of their credit default swap losses and why are the taxpayers on the hook for 100% on all of these deals? geither is a goldman sachs crook, as was paulson. we had no change in wall street corruption with this change in administation, just a smoothly transitioned continuation of corruption.

Giethner is a good guy, but he is in way, way over his head. For direction, look to Larry Summers. God bless this politically incorrect man. Brilliant and tough.

Summers and Geithner are proteges of Robert Rubin, former Goldman co-CEO. again, all current roads lead back to goldman sachs.

I am listening to Obama RIGHT NOW singing Gietner's praises, no way is he going to admit he screwed up with this hack.
What, if anything will happen, is he will get tossed under the bus behind closed doors, He will step down, in "humility".

Geithner's just the front man. He's only doing as ordered and unfortunately can't pull off trying to appear competent. Neither can Obama without a teleprompter and blackberry.
"You're doing a heckuva job on the economy, Geithney."

Here is a ballad to Geitner. Hope you enjoy it. In addition, I have an idea on how Geitner can get our money back. On www.opensecrets.org you can read all the names of the over 300 members of Congress, including Obama when he was there, who took money from AIG, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and the rest. Make the Congress give back the money, it is in their campaign accounts and would be an easy thing to do. Make them write a check from their campaign accounts to the Dept. of Revenue etc. Anyway, see the video. I am sure you will enjoy it more than the English prime minister will enjoy the dvds (not suitable for English networks) Obama gave him as a gift.

I'm only outraged if a CEO hasn't made any money for the company and get's a bonus. If he made a huge profit he really deserves a bonus and for the government to tax it 90% is ridiculous. That is almost communism.

Turbo Tax Geithner should never have become the Treasurer and I hope he will be gone soon, but that will only happen in my dream...Obama or Oprompter will do everything not have him go away since it will be looking bad for Oprompter.
