There is a well used strategy in where if you cannot attract the argument, you attack the person making the argument.

Relax everyone. Now the G7 says the worst is behind us. The White House also said we should rebound in 2H09 but unemployment may rise (all in the same sentence no less).

Yet, none of these happy talkers give any basis for their predictions. Since they "never saw this coming" I don't put much faith in them. When Roubini and Schiff says the worst is over then I will listen.
