If America has learned anything at all I hope we have learned how NOT to depend on China for everything. We couldn’t even get masks here in Ny during the peak of a epidemic because they were made in China for crying out loud.

The nut they are trying to crack is the petrodollar, once they are able to get the oil they need outside of that hegemony, the days of USD dominance are numbered.

China will tolerate a multipolar world with SDRs, in fact it would be a big advantage for them versus the current system with the USD as primary exchange medium.

War? Never fun, but the Chinese Navy now has more and newer blue-water ships than the U.S. Navy. They stole the design of the W88 for their strategic arsenal, and more importantly they possess a huge surge capability to rapidly manufacture war machines when they are needed. What’s that old Teddy Roosevelt saying? Something about quietly carrying a big stick?

China is great at copying for sure, but their navy has a way to go before they can match the US navy. They currently operate two conventional aircraft carriers and have recently cancelled plans to build nuclear powered ones.
