Just curious if it's worth my time to attend, only about a short flight to Omaha.

Being a fairly new shareholder to Berkshire, I've never attended, but plan to next year. It'll be worth going at least once, and the chance to hear Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, and possibly even Bill Gates speak in person is a once in a lifetime thing. If you get the chance, I'd say go. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I don't know but it's something my parents always wanted to do at least once. A few years back they had the whole thing planned but my dad needed surgery and couldn't go.

My parents go every year and I"m planning on going this year. You do get a chance for Munger and Buffett to answer Questions (which is what I'm most excited about) but they give out free food and free alcohol and I heard parts of it are just a big party. So whether you actually want to go for the investment advice or because you want free drinks/food, you can't go wrong going to the shareholder meeting. A lot of my friends that have gone don't know a thing about investing/business but they go because it's such a good time.
