The banks were only too happy to loan to Greece and help them with derivatives.
No mention of our own Fed though and how much we've loan them.

Apparently risk-taking is as alive as ever... I remember that BoA is also heavily invested in Greece... apparently many bankers thought Greece would make them lots of money... oppss... I wonder if we are going to bailout them again... I seem to remember politicians promising to stop... we'll see how long that lasts.. The strange thing is that Greece is widely recognized as a socialist-like country and they are going to overthrow their very socialist-like government for an even more socialist government... its like finding out what the problem is and then making the problem even worse...

Just after WWII, the far right and far left are looking to fill the current void in Greece. What might happen is a civil war, or if special interests persist a regional war with all the Balkan states including Turkey once again. This could be extremely ugly possibly bringing on WWIII

I don't think the communists would want greece anymore, they're that broke.

Correct! We already have MORE debt here in the US than the entire Eurozone put together. Shhhhhh...don't tell anybody!
