A number of high schools in Gwinnett County, GA (just outside Atlanta) have 3000+ students. I personally think that's completely insane, but YMMV.

There is one over here in the DFW area that is at 4,000 (Allen ISD) with enrollment projected to go over 5,000 in the next few years. My local ISD has 2,400.

Ours is up there because it's a large suburban district. A far cry from the rural consolidated one I attended.

My kids are in a private college prep school. There are around 2500 kids in total (PK3-12). There are 243 students in the current graduating class. Our local public school district has 33 high schools. The typical public high school in our district has around 2500 students although sizes vary from around 600-5800 students.

I graduated in a class of 48~ nowadays class sizes are in the 60s so that would be a high school of about 250 students

School district I live in has approx 500 students 9-12. 10 years ago the high school had only about 190 kids. The high school is projected to have approx. 800 students 9-12 within 5-6 years. Needless to say, it's the fastest growing school district in South Dakota.

I'm glad my kids are graduated and gone. I liked the size of the old school district.

We average between 1700-2000 at each of the 4 high schools here.

The high school I went to was about 240 students. They've since converged with two other high schools in the county so the high school population is probably about twice that now.

I'm not sure what the high school population is in the district we live in now; the total K-12 population is a little over 600, so if the students are fairly evenly distributed through all the classes there would be about 150-200 in grades 9-12.

Our local high school has about 3000 students in grades 9-12 -- a very typical size for our area. The high school I grew up in had about 1900 students in grades 10-12.
