I found this deal via Living Social:

The Best Daily Deals in Washington, D.C. - Livemocha - Online Foreign Language Course

For those who are familiar with Livemocha, is the price that they list on there a good deal?

Thanks!

I've used Livemocha and it was free. It still seems like a good deal, however, the learning online from native speakers is not from tutors. You complete the lesson and then someone who is a native speaker and is also signed up on Livemocha grades your exercises; you do the same in return. The format of the lessons are very similar to Rosetta Stone. When I was doing it, you had the opportunity to earn "gold coins" and could spend them on tutors.

$25 for 6 months is a good deal if you use it.

I was thinking about this:
  • $39 ($100 value) for 12 months of Gold Key access to all online courses in 38 languages
How would you say that deal is?

I would do it. As long as you are committed to the practice involved you will definitely get your money's worth out of it.

I saw that deal earlier this morning and went to the site to see their regular pricing.
I've been a member of their site for about 10 days.

This morning I received a year of "Golden Key" access for $9.95.
About 2-3 hours after I paid 9.95, I got an email about the deal.

Feel free to save yourself some money and try the $9.95 deal. If it isn't available to you, go through Living Social.
