Immersion.

You won't get far with just classes and some conversation now and then. But you already know that.

Best of luck.

I love Rosetta Stone, but it's very expensive. I find that learning visually is the best way for me. Perhaps your library has some ESL programs on DVD that you can borrow.

Default Monetary reward

If learning another language will increase your income, then you will learn that language.

Watch movies and TV shows in English. Read books in English. Try to find an English speaker to practice speaking English with.

firstly, you will need to figure out what different ways you have tried learning language. then try to figure out how you can work them in better way. solutions could be trying to communicate with english speakers as often as possible. dont lose confidence, dont hesitate to talk to someone who speaks english. try to use as many english words as possible when you communicate. also check out some english learning techniques visual ones on youtube. Also rosetta stone is good. i hope that helps

People are not all the same. What works best for one person won't necessarily work best for another person.

Language is like muscle memory. The more times you repeat it, the less mental effort it takes to do so.

If you are already bilingual in a way that you can think in both languages, additional languages can be added much more easily. But if you only speak one language, it is much more difficult for an adult to learn another one.

The hard part is keeping yourself motivated. Find that and read, read, read...and repeat out loud.
A good text-to-speech reader for your computer will help with pronunciation.
News stories will often have a video with the transcribed text below the video box. That's also great practice for intonation, inflection, etc...

You are not a failure. I understood your sentence. Kids tv shows, like Sesame Street, are simple and repetitive. If there are English ESL classes in your area, attend them.

The best way to learn a language would be through immersion, visiting these countries. Learning a language will require some time. In addition to software, you can have books which are useful as well. Audio CDs like Pimsleur for instance might help you out but you cannot get any feedback on your pronunciation so I did not like it so much
