No we don't. We rotate around the center of mass of the solar system which isn't even located anywhere in the sun half the time. The Sun also rotates around the same point.

Interesting.
Here is the deal. We are currently spinning in space. As we spin we move around the Sun. I call it rotating. we make the same trip every 365 and 1/4 days. (Every 4th year we add one day in there to take up the slack.)
Does our Solar System rotate around? Sure, within this Galaxy we are also moving. Our Galazy is also on the move.
Well, we've had the revisionists doing everything in their power to cover for this, claiming that it's okay because most people pay little attention to what's going on outside their own little circle.
In other words -- according to liberals, a huge number of people are ignorant and deserve big government making decisions for them.
The we have the diverters who demand we prove the book exists and isn't made up by the author.

Actually, we, and the sun, rotate around the barycenter of the sun-earth system. That barycenter is below the suns surface (such as that is anyway) but is not at the center of mass as the sun which is technically what is stated when you say "the earth revolves around the sun".
The correct answer is that the earth-sun revolve around their barycenter.
And now we await the leftist apologists to jump in and claim the survey is flawed.
Why would any particular political orientation be blamed for this? There are schools in all of our states: red states, blue states, and purple states the last time I checked. You're welcome.
The Left will say the 25% are all Christians from the South and that they all vote Republican.
The Right will say they all graduated from public schools.
This is one issue that is not left/right. Just tell the 25% the correct information and be done with it without the political pseudo-drama this thread will fail to accomplish if sensible people have anything to say about it. Thanks for sharing.
As we speak, everyone that has ever been associated with the political left has gathered in a meeting (whose location is secret) to counter the damage done to their cause by a survey stating that 25% of Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth. Communists, Green Party members, and prominent Democrats are doing serious damage control regarding this issue at this very moment. If not handled correctly, they could be heading for extinction.
'
Everyone on the political right has been formally exonerated by the U.S. Astronomical Society. Republican leaders around the nation are in celebration mode across the nation. This information had been known by 100% of Americans during "No child left behind" and the no good liberals have allowed 25% to slip behind.
This information could even result in the impeachment of President Obama.
Who would have thought that an issue like this could result in the destruction of the political left?!
Warning to the moderates out there: If any Americans are found to lack knowledge about anything else at any time, you are to blame. Watch out. You are next!
And 1 in 4 people believe you hang toilet paper coming off the top of the roll, not the underside, I believe they are considered a protected class........
That's works fine for those people who do not have cats....
While it is scary that 26% of Americans think the sun "goes" around the Earth. The most unbelievable thing about this survey to me is how stupid it is. How could the National Science Foundation come up with such an idiotic test? These questions are plain idiotic, and makes me question the motives ( read anti-religion motives) and intelligence of the people at the NSF. True or False? Why T or F format? Because it was easier? Lets stick to facts, not theories.
If you believe in God, three questions will be false automatically. This goes world wide. instead they should have questions that could not be skewed by religious beliefs.
Plate Tectonics is also a stupid question.
There were hundreds of other general knowledge science questions they could have asked. They would also be better for gauging true knowledge of science. This is all about discrediting those who believe in a God.
Better questions could have been.
T or F the Sun is a Star?
T or F water has a Ph level of around 7?
What is dihydrogen Monoxide?
T or F Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system?
T or F The molten rock that comes from a volcano after it has erupted is known as lava?
T or F A red pigment found in vertebrate blood that functions in oxygen transport is Hemoglobin?
Any of these would have been a better gauge of science knowledge.

First, many, many people who believe in god accept evolution, cosmic expansion and so on.
Second, some of the questions are overly simplistic. For example there is no "correct" answer for the original question. Same with your second one (only pure water has a ph around 7), IUPAC name of water is oxidane so technically three isn't correct either.
None of these are good measures. So all of these should taken with a grain of salt the size of a boulder.
