that is what I thought too I saw it was debated on Jack Cafferty and I thought well I guess it would depend on where the person is from in how they think it is pronounced like Nevada has two pronunciations
Here's another - debacle .. before it came into frequent use, it was pronounced DEH-ba-cul .. now it's supposed to be deh-BAH-cul

I saw two different news people say dih-vis-iv rather than dih-V-EYE--siv, and I was really confused by this.
When I looked it up, I saw no listing at all for their pronunciation, but then I did not research it exhaustively.
And I was reminded of the debacle changeover.
