What did the teachers at your school think you would be when you grew up? (high school, maths)

For career wise

I was good at Maths and my maths teacher said he saw me becoming a maths teacher , I didn't.

For me since I had a one track mind from grade school on, they pretty much figured I'd be a rocket scientist.

I think back then I had my heart set on becoming a journalist for National Geographic. But I thought I would become a surgical nurse.

I became neither.

I was a math and science wiz and I was really great with kids. Everyone assumed I'd be a pediatrician. I'm not, but relatively close anyway

I don't know a single teacher who ever expressed their opinion on what I was going to do in adulthood.


My shop teacher absolutely knew I wasn't going to be a welder and there wasn't a science teacher that saw any future for me in that. Owning my own business and being in sales I really doubt shocked any former high school teacher. I never had a problem being in front of people, volunteering my opinion to class discussions, or putting my thoughts down on paper. Loved essay tests.
