On those signing pads at grocery stores, I just draw a picture of a cat. No one cares.

Like I said, many kids still like drawing & crayoning, so penmanship still got a chance in the 21st century.

Schools want the kids using Chromebooks as early as possible. No writing allowed, or printing allowed, I should say, because they don't teach cursive anymore.

I know they can't use a manual pencil sharpener either. Growing tired of the constant wanting to use the electric sharpener every 5 minutes it was put up. The kids actually couldn't hold the pencil and turn the handle at the same time.

And who is paying for these Chromebooks? There are an awful lot of people who have trouble enough just managing school clothes, let alone a computer, even if it IS just a dumb tablet.
