I’ve been thinking about this lately because I’ve been working on teaching myself Spanish but I had gotten stuck and wasn’t progressing as I had hoped, even though I’m now living in a Spanish speaking country. My daughter recommended Spanish with Paul on YouTube and I love his videos. He teaches by building sentences phrase by phrase and I feel like I’m finally making a lot progress quickly, which is good because I’d like to have a real conversation before I go home in November! Lol.
Also, when I was teaching special ed i had a high school student who could not read And he had a learning disability but was smart enough to understand the material. Since I didn’t have time to explain it all to him I found this series of videos which laid it all out in such a way that he understood the material. Heck, even I was able to understand it lol. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EboWeWmh5Pg. I think this mans teaching style is pure genius even though I’m not much interested in physics. He takes you from 9th grade physics to rocket science lol. Also, khan academy has the best math videos that I’m aware of.
Anyone else interested in learning online and what do you use? Also, if you have learning disabilities or your child has, what have you found most helpful to approach learning in a different style from that used in school?
