You're probably right, the continuous openings are probably in the more challenging schools. That, or the openings are for the more in-demand areas like Math, Science, or SPED, which can be hard to fill. My school isn't a challenging school at all, we just have a hard time filling those subjects with quality candidates since we're very small and cannot offer a competitive salary compared to larger schools in the area. It could go either way, but since someone else mentioned that Davidson County has the best pay with the worst schools, I'll probably give that county a miss.
I will definitely keep Shelby County in mind together with some of the others that were mentioned. I appreciate your input!
