Somewhere I have my high school ring. Never bought one from college. I transferred halfway through due to bad advisement and never felt the same enjoyment or personal connection to where I finished. I just wanted to go to class and be done.
While I was in high school, my father was waiting on a job transfer out of our area. As things were moving very slowly on that front, when it came time to buy a class ring I asked him if I was going to graduate at my current school---or would we move? He said the transfer wouldn't come through until I graduated.
So...I bought a ring and a few months after getting it, his job transfer came through. As I got older, the ring no longer fit (although now I bet it would). I ended up giving it to our daughter as she liked it (and actually wore it for a while). I figured that in the end, had I kept it, she would have gotten it.
I dropped out of high school, so no ring. Didn't buy a ring for my undergraduate degree. My ex-wife bought me one for my graduate degree. I wore it while we were married and now it sits in my safe. I'm not really a jewelry person.
Lost my one from college years ago, have no idea where, still have my HS one though.
I never got one in college but I still have my high school one. It doesn't fit me anymore.
