Nothing new. My friend is a teacher and she says every year a student makes a kill list. They are usually back.

Unpopular opinion: I had a kill list back then. I could still tell you who was on it. I don’t think it’s entirely abnormal. I’ve never killed anybody and I’m kinda hippie in some ways now, I value life of others as well as myself in a really meaningful way. Moral panic isn’t what is called for over a list.

By law children must be educated by the state. There is a limit on how long a child can be suspended or expelled, particularly if the child is special education. If the student is no longer deemed a threat the school must enroll them, they have no option in this. If the kid is general ed the school system would probably enroll them in an alternative program, however if the student is special education they must by federal law be placed in the least restrictive environment.

That's nothing compared to letting a student with a gun back in class..after multiple tip-offs. The victim could be looking at 8 figures.
