BOTHELL, Wash. -- A nude photograph of two local high school cheerleaders that prompted their suspension from their after-school activity is now at the center of a lawsuit against school officials and the Northshore School District.
It's in the 9th circuit, too! It will be litigated, and litigated, and litigated. At taxpayer expense. And one judge on the court really enjoys his porn!
Well, if there is a code of ethics the girls were supposed to be following then I guess the suspension is warranted.
What bothers me is that the school officials did not contact the parents IMMEDIATELY. And I mean IMMEDIATELY......, as in pull photo out of envelope, cover nude part in order to identify girl, call girls parents. In that order.
You assume they could immediately tell who the girl was.
Who assumed?
No one assumed.
I said they should have covered the nude parts and identified her. Only one school staff member needed to see the naked portion of her body, the one who opened the envelope. The nude part of her body should have been covered with masking tape or the like immediately. Then the photo (head only) could be used to identify her.
I doubt school personnel would have found seeing her breasts helpful when identifying her.
Fact= the picture was essentially illegal child porn, no matter how it was obtained, police and parents should have been called. People circulating the picture were committing a crime.
Are you kidding? The girls took the naked pictures. The girls sent them out to a boy. They violated their team rules. They were removed from the school. End of story. The parents are encouraging more irresponsible behavior by their child by not allowing her to experience the consequences of her actions.
hmmm... i will need to see said picture before i can make an opinion on this
Uh....remember they're children.
